Volcanic Lake
The Volcanic Lake is an area below The Laboratory that you may find if you wander past the game's final boss. It seems to be an enormous pool full of lava, with seemingly nothing special inside of it.

The Egg of Technology is located somewhere in the Volcanic Lake. If you use a modifier such as Lava to Blood you can breach the walls of the egg and tunnel out into the lava. After a distance outside the egg, you are shown the "Entered Volcanic Lake" area notification. The edges of the lake are made of Extremely Dense Rock.
